20 military schools stop considering transcripts for admission

The Military Admissions Board (Ministry of National Defense) has just sent a document to agencies, units, and schools regarding the admission of full-time military colleges and universities in 2025.

According to the military admissions board (Ministry of National Defense), this year military schools will use three admission methods.

In which, method 1 - direct admission, priority is given to candidates who have won national and international prizes according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of National Defense.

Method 2 - consider the competency assessment test scores organized by Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025.

Method 3 - considering high school graduation exam results in 2025.

So compared to last year, this year military schools have abandoned the method of considering high school transcripts. Last year, some schools reserved no more than 10% of their quota for the method of considering transcripts.

Regarding the admission combinations, this year military schools use 13 admission combinations including: A00 (math, physics, chemistry), A01 (math, physics, English), B00 (math, chemistry, biology), C00 (literature, history, geography), C01 (literature, math, physics), C02 (literature, math, chemistry), C03 (literature, math, history), C04 (literature, math, geography), D01 (math, literature, English), D02 (math, literature, Russian), D04 (math, literature, Chinese), D07 (math, chemistry, English), A0T (math, physics, IT).

With the rules for converting equivalent scores of entrance thresholds and admission scores between admission methods, admission methods, and admission combinations, the Ministry of National Defense's military admissions board requires schools to research and propose conversion plans after receiving instructions from the Ministry of Education and Training.

This year, 20 military schools recruited 4,383 university and college students for military programs, a decrease of more than 900 students compared to last year.

Schools note to candidates, schools only consider candidates who meet the preliminary requirements and standards according to regulations of the Ministry of National Defense.

Candidates are required to make a first choice when applying to military schools.
