According to the results of the examination of documents and the level of meeting the standards of the new model rural area in 2023 of Gia Loc district, the two communes of Pham Tran and Thong Nhat meet the criteria.
For Pham Tran commune, the income of local people here reached nearly 75.8 million VND, higher than the regulation of a model new rural commune of over 1 million VND/person. The locality has a smart village model in Coi Thuong village with a smart broadcasting system, a digital technology team operating regularly, a camera surveillance system in public areas, 95% of people of working age have smartphones and mobile networks... In terms of outstanding production, the locality has Pham Tran Agricultural Service Cooperative and Tan Minh Duc Cooperative operating effectively, with concentrated production areas and OCOP products. The commune still owes over 7.9 billion VND for new rural construction and has a plan to repay the debt.
In 2023, Thong Nhat commune will have an average income per capita of 76.4 million VND; there will be a smart village model in Khay village; there will be fiber optic broadband network infrastructure covering over 80% of households in the village. Every year, the villages are recognized as cultural villages. The locality has entertainment and sports venues suitable for children and the elderly installed in the cultural centers of the villages. The commune's basic construction debt is over 5.2 billion VND and there is a debt repayment plan.
Up to now, Gia Loc district has 10 communes recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards, but no commune has achieved model new rural standards.
