This evening, July 17, the University of Natural Sciences (Ho Chi Minh City National University) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade announced the threshold to ensure input quality (floor score) for full-time university admission in 2024 by considering the 2024 high school graduation exam scores.

These are the first two universities in Ho Chi Minh City to announce admission floor scores based on high school graduation exam scores.

Floor score of University of Natural Sciences: 16 - 24 points

The University of Science (Ho Chi Minh City National University) has just announced the admission scores (floor scores) for regular university programs in 2024 based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam (method 3 - round 1).

Accordingly, the minimum score for each major is from 16 to 24 points (depending on the major), applied to all admission combinations of each major. In particular, the majors with the highest minimum score (24 points) include: data science, computer and information technology group, information technology (English enhancement program), computer science (advanced program) and artificial intelligence.

Floor score of University of Science (Ho Chi Minh City National University)

The school notes that candidates must have scores that satisfy the following conditions: the total score of the subjects/tests of the subject/test combination (including priority points if any) used for university admission must reach the admission registration score corresponding to the major/group of majors; no exam or component subject in the subject/test combination for admission has a result of 1.0 point or lower.

For majors/groups of majors with English in the admission subject group: only use the English test results of the 2024 high school graduation exam, do not use the results of exemption from the English test.

Floor score of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade: 16 - 20 points

The Admissions Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade has just announced the minimum score for regular university admission in 2024 by considering the 2024 high school graduation exam scores.

In this method, the school recruits 34 majors with a minimum score of 16 - 20 points. The minimum score is the minimum score (without coefficient) of candidates who are high school students in region 3 for each group of subjects for admission, including 3 exams/subjects corresponding to each major; the calculation of priority points for regions and subjects is according to current admission regulations.
