On the morning of January 16, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development held a conference to evaluate and classify Central OCOP products in 2024 in Hanoi.
At the conference, the Central Office for New Rural Area Coordination reported a summary of the results of the review of the application files for evaluation and classification of 52 national OCOP products in 2024.

After the evaluation, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development recognized 28 national OCOP products in 2024. Of which, Dak Lak province has 2 products that achieved 5-star OCOP certification when participating in the evaluation and classification of 5-star OCOP at the national level in 2024.
Two products of Dak Lak province have just been rated 5 stars by the Central OCOP Product Classification Council: Premium Macadamia Nuts of Damaca Nguyen Phuong Joint Stock Company and Kien Cuong Weasel Coffee of Kien Cuong One Member Co., Ltd. This is also the first time that Dak Lak province has a product recognized as a 5-star OCOP at the national level.

The first 2 products of Dak Lak achieved 5-star OCOP certification
Up to now, the whole Dak Lak province has more than 300 OCOP products of 184 entities achieving 3-4 stars. Along with the national target program on new rural construction, the development of OCOP products is extremely important. Dak Lak is promoting the implementation of the OCOP program, in which priority is given to key products that meet 4-star standards and 5-star potential to create competitive advantages and enhance the value of local products in the domestic and international markets. This is of great significance to Dak Lak agricultural products when affirming the quality and value of local agricultural products on the map of Vietnam and the world.
According to the Central Office for New Rural Area Coordination, the OCOP program has so far contributed to creating gender equality in the economy and production, helping rural women have stable livelihoods, while also strongly transforming the agricultural economy, farmers and rural areas, including rural tourism, and local cultural identity is also improving. OCOP products are specialties of each region. Not only increasing the value of agricultural products but also contributing to the overall development of production localities.
OCOP products have begun to reach out to international markets, with many production facilities proactively registering and adjusting their products to meet international standards. At the same time, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is stepping up trade promotion activities, bringing OCOP products to participate in international agricultural fairs. In addition, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development plans to select a number of 5-star OCOP products to introduce into supermarket systems in the US.
