On August 1, the Criminal Police Department (PC02), Ho Chi Minh City Police Department is detaining Wei Vinh Diem (born in 1985) and Chen Dao Hong (born in 1979), both Chinese nationals, to investigate the act of "Theft of property".
Previously, at noon on July 25, Tan Phong Ward Police received a crime report from Ms. BT (born in 1986, residing in District 7) - authorized by the homeowner, Ms. AT (born in 1985, residing in District 7), to report that a thief had broken into Ms. AT's house on Hung Thai Street (Tan Phong Ward) and stolen many valuable assets.
Accordingly, Ms. AT determined that the thief broke into the cabinet to take 3 Rolex watches; 1 gold bracelet with diamonds; 4 gold rings with diamonds; cash including 210 million VND; 3,000 AUD; 2,000 USD and 3,000 JPY and 1 LV handbag.
The police investigated and identified the two suspects as Diem and Hong. That same evening, the police arrested both suspects. During the search, the police seized many tools used to steal property; a car; 3 Rolex watches along with many pieces of jewelry and cash.
Through investigation, Diem and Hong admitted to their crimes. Through investigation, Diem confessed to illegally entering Vietnam through the northern border provinces of Vietnam.
