According to a quick report from the People's Committee of Long Giang commune, the landslide occurred at around 4:00 a.m. the same day, in Long Thanh hamlet, with a length of 40 m, causing the house of Mr. Nguyen Van Ut Nhi (60 years old) and the pharmacy of Mr. Le Thanh Trieu (51 years old) to collapse completely into Ong Chuong canal. In addition, the house of Mr. Duong Van Loi (67 years old) was tilted and had to be relocated.
At the time of the landslide, people heard an unusual noise and quickly left their homes, thus avoiding any casualties. Initial property damage is estimated at around 150 million VND.

The leader of Long Giang Commune People's Committee informed that due to the impact of heavy rain and thunderstorms on the night of June 22 and early morning of June 23, houses were eroded. Immediately after the incident, local authorities visited, encouraged and supported households whose houses were damaged to relocate their properties.
The locality is asking for permission to move households whose houses were affected by landslides to the residential area of Long Giang commune to ensure safety.
