The mass art festival of the armed forces, youth and students is a major cultural event chaired by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, organized every five years.

With the theme “80 years of heroic epic”, the 10th mass art festival of armed forces, youth and students, region 2, took place from May 20-26 at the Cultural House of Corps 15, Pleiku City (Gia Lai Province), with the participation of more than 2,000 actors from 22 mass art troupes inside and outside the armed forces.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, shared that throughout the process of leading the Vietnamese revolution, our Party and President Ho Chi Minh always affirmed: Culture and arts are an inseparable organic part and have a direct and great effect on the task of building the army and revolutionary armed forces in general, and improving the effectiveness of ideological work in particular.

The mass art festival is an opportunity to gather and promote the mass cultural and artistic movement of the armed forces, youth and students, in order to create a cultural and artistic exchange event, to propagate and widely spread to compatriots and soldiers nationwide about the spirit of military-civilian solidarity; about the glorious tradition of 80 years of building, fighting, winning and maturing of the Vietnam People's Army, the tradition of the Vietnam People's Public Security; about the combined strength in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, the cultural beauty of Vietnamese youth and students in the Ho Chi Minh era.

“With a high sense of responsibility and careful and elaborate preparation by the mass art troupes participating in the festival in region 2, the programs will create a deep impression, many works of high artistic value will spread, winning many emotions and love from audiences nationwide,” Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet believes.

The performances were carefully prepared, thoughtfully and seriously staged, expressing love and passion for culture and arts. Especially the pride of the artists and actors when participating in the 10th mass art festival of the armed forces, youth and students, region 2 in Pleiku city.

The festival is organized to comprehensively evaluate the quality of cultural and artistic activities of units inside and outside the armed forces. With the efforts, determination, talent, creativity in composing, staging and performing of the artistic cores at the festival, it will contribute to creating a truly meaningful cultural exchange festival, uniting the army and people; fostering patriotism, preserving and developing traditional revolutionary values ​​and the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people.
