Over the past 17 years, a professor's family has sponsored more than 75 billion for Thanh Hoa's education sector.

On November 11, Thanh Hoa Province's Association for Promoting Education coordinated with the Departmentof Education and Training to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day and award scholarships from the family of Professor Le Viet Ly (from Hoang Quang Ward, Thanh Hoa City) to students and teachers with achievements in teaching and studying in the province.

Speaking at the scholarship awarding ceremony, Mr. Vuong Van Viet - Chairman of Thanh Hoa Province's Association for Promotion of Education - said that over the past 17 years, the scholarship fund of Professor Le Viet Ly's family has made significant contributions to the movement to promote learning and talent, build a learning society and the development of the province's education and training sector.

“Up to now, after 17 years, the total amount of money that Professor Le Viet Ly's family has supported and sponsored for Thanh Hoa to build schools, support educational equipment, award scholarships and awards is more than 75 billion VND.

Over 7,000 students have received scholarships, ranging from 2 million to 3 million VND/student; nearly 500 students have received scholarships continuously until they graduate from university, ranging from 10 million to 15 million VND/year/student from this scholarship fund" - Mr. Vuong Van Viet shared.

According to the Thanh Hoa Province Association for Promotion of Education, this year the scholarship fund of Professor Le Viet Ly's family has spent more than 2 billion VND to award scholarships to 449 students who have overcome difficulties to study well and excel in their studies, and 50 excellent managers, teachers, and those who have excelled in promoting education; and to provide financial support to schools.

Sharing joy at the scholarship award ceremony, Mr. Dau Thanh Tung - Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee - thanked the golden heart and noble sentiments and gestures of joining hands to build a learning society of the professor, the family of professor Le Viet Ly, and the staff, employees and workers ofSun Group Corporation.

At the ceremony, Thanh Hoa provincial leaders and representatives of Sun Group awarded prizes to excellent managers, teachers, and people who promote learning, and awarded scholarships from Professor Le Viet Ly's family to poor and excellent students in 2024 with a total amount of more than 2 billion VND.
