16 designers to participate in Vietnam International Fashion Week 2024

(Dan Tri) - At Vietnam International Fashion Week 2024, there will be 16 major domestic and international designers and fashion brands participating.

On the afternoon of October 31, the Organizing Committee of Vietnam International Fashion Week 2024 held a press conference to announce the list of designers and fashion brands participating in the fall-winter season in Hanoi .

This year's Vietnam International Fashion Week will continue to open a new chapter with the message FashionEvolution - New steps in fashion , marking the transformation of Vietnamese fashion in the next decade.

Sharing at the event, Ms. Trang Le - President of the Association of Southeast Asian Fashion Designers and President of Vietnam International Fashion Week 2024 - said that after 17 successful seasons, Vietnam International Fashion Week has affirmed its position.

According to Ms. Trang, over the past decade, Vietnamese fashion has made great strides and especially Vietnam International Fashion Week has contributed to changing the face of the Vietnamese fashion industry.

With these proud achievements, Vietnamese fashion is increasingly receiving trust and support not only from Vietnamese people but also from the international market.

Many Vietnamese designs and collections appear at prestigious events and catwalks around the world .

"There are many Vietnamese designs that are not only for Vietnamese people but have been chosen by many international stars to wear at major events. We confidently enter the new decade with a strong message that this will be the time to change the Vietnamese fashion industry," said Ms. Trang Le.

Vietnam International Fashion Week 2024 has 16 major domestic and international designers and fashion brands participating, such as: Do Manh Cuong, Duc Hung, Cao Minh Tien, Hoang Hai, Thuy Nguyen, Adrian Anh Tuan, Ha Linh Thu, Frederick Lee (Singapore), Priyo Oktaviano (Indonesia)...

Designer Do Manh Cuong was chosen to open the event with the collection Pure Water Drops, which is highly applicable, new, and innovative.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, designer Cao Minh Tien said that at this year's Vietnam International Fashion Week, he will bring about 50 outfits to show.

"The costumes will be made of Japanese brocade. The designs are made from many very small pieces of fabric, only 35-40cm in size. I have to cut, combine, and choose appropriately to create a unique look that no one else has...", designer Cao Minh Tien revealed.

Talking about choosing models to perform on stage, designer Cao Minh Tien said that in addition to some veteran artists, he also invited some actors such as Tu Oanh, Minh Cuc and some Western models to be models for the show.

Vietnam International Fashion Week 2024 takes place from November 13 to 16 at Quan Ngua Sports Palace, Hanoi.
