16 businesses introduce job opportunities for veterinary students

On November 1 and 2, Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry organized the 9th Career Orientation and Job Opportunity Festival of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine.

The event had the participation of 16 large enterprises operating in the field of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, 15 booths introducing products, job opportunities of enterprises to students and activities of the Union of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine Faculty.

This is an opportunity for more than 1,000 students of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, University of Agriculture and Forestry - Hue University to approach their careers, better understand job positions, and the requirements needed to meet those job opportunities, thereby better orienting themselves during their time at school.

According to the leaders of the University of Agriculture and Forestry - Hue University, the orientation and job opportunity festival of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine is an annual activity to create opportunities for students to have career orientation and love for animal husbandry and veterinary medicine right from the first days of school; create opportunities for students of all courses to approach businesses through a series of activities such as talk shows and exhibition booths.

This activity also creates opportunities for businesses to introduce products and promote their brands to students, teachers, managers and society.

According to representatives of businesses participating in the festival, the livestock and veterinary industry is an essential sector because it is related to food. Currently, the demand for labor in this sector is very large, especially labor that can master technology, participate in high-tech, ecological, and closed-loop livestock models; highly specialized labor and operate large livestock farms...

Business representatives suggest that in addition to specialized knowledge at school, students need to increase self-study, learn deeply about different fields, and cultivate soft skills.

The Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, University of Agriculture and Forestry - Hue University has the task of training at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, conducting scientific research and transferring technology in the field of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine for the Central region and the whole country.

Currently, the faculty's training scale is nearly 1,000 students, including 259 new students enrolled in both animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, including 5 new students from Laos.
