150 works entered into the Provincial Press Award 2023

The Kien Giang Provincial Journalism Award 2023 was launched by the Kien Giang Provincial Journalists Association to professional and non-professional journalists inside and outside the province from the beginning of February 2023 to May 12, 2023 (with an additional 1 day). According to statistics, by 5:00 p.m. on May 15, 2023, the Organizing Committee had received 150 press works from authors inside and outside the province.

Of which: print and electronic newspapers have 55 works; spoken newspapers have 27 radio works; television newspapers have 41 works; and photo reports and news photos have 27 works.

Journalist Doan Hong Phuc - Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Journalists Association, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Organizing Committee of the Kien Giang Provincial Press Awards 2023 said: "Initially, we can assess that this year's Kien Giang Provincial Press Awards have increased in all three aspects (number of authors, number of works, quality of works). In particular, the number of works participating in the award increased by 28. Regarding the authors participating in this year's award, in addition to professional and non-professional journalists in the province, there are also a large number of resident reporters and collaborators from provincial agencies and departments. Through the preliminary summary of the secretariat, the works participating in the award are of quite good and even quality, clearly reflecting the development of the economy , culture, society, national defense, security, portraits of good people and good deeds, and advanced models in Kien Giang province" .

The 2023 Kien Giang Provincial Press Award will be reviewed and judged at the end of May 2023 and the award ceremony will be held to honor the author with the best work on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023).

Previously, on February 10, 2023, the Kien Giang Provincial Journalists Association held a conference to launch the 2023 Kien Giang Provincial Journalism Award. The Kien Giang Provincial Journalism Award was widely launched among the masses. The authors participating in the award are Vietnamese citizens with journalistic works about Kien Giang Province.

The content of the topic is works reflecting the political , economic, cultural, social, life, national defense and security situation in Kien Giang province; works written about portraits of Kien Giang people, Kien Giang students living, working, studying, working outside the province, abroad... with outstanding contributions to the development of Kien Giang homeland.

The Organizing Committee encourages journalistic works that reveal or highlight advanced examples and new factors; criticize negative behaviors, corruption, and waste; refute the wrong views of hostile forces...
