DNVN - Taking place from October 31 to November 4 at Vinhomes Ocean Park 3 Urban Area, Hung Yen, the exhibition of OCOP export products (VIETNAM OCOPEX) attracts the participation of 150 enterprises with 250 booths displaying OCOP products from 3 stars to 5 stars.

According to Mr. Vu Ba Phu - Director of the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the exhibition of OCOP export products (VIETNAM OCOPEX) is an important event to support businesses, cooperatives and OCOP entities in promoting exports and expanding international markets, with the goal of enhancing the position of Vietnamese OCOP products in the global value chain.

VIETNAM OCOPEX creates opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to connect with international partners, foreign representative agencies, and trade promotion organizations. Through this event, OCOP products will be widely introduced to international importers and major distribution channels, helping OCOP products meet international standards and deeply integrate into the global supply chain.

The event is directed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance; the Trade Promotion Agency and the Central Office for New Rural Area Coordination are the focal units, with many coordinating units.

Mr. Vu Ba Phu - Director of the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) informed about the exhibition of OCOP export products (VIETNAM OCOPEX).

The exhibition will gather more than 150 businesses with 250 booths displaying OCOP products from 3 stars to 5 stars, displayed according to two themes: regions and product fields. Products at the exhibition are carefully selected, not only in terms of quality but also meeting packaging and certification standards, in order to make an impression on international consumers.

According to Mr. Vuong Dinh Anh - Deputy Head of the New Rural Area Coordination Office, Vietnam's OCOP products are developing strongly but still face many challenges to meet international standards. Currently, Vietnam only has 46 products meeting 5-star OCOP standards, due to the very strict evaluation criteria.

“Through VIETNAM OCOPEX, OCOP entities have the opportunity to directly contact foreign importers, helping them identify weaknesses that need to be improved such as packaging and certification to meet the strict requirements of the international market,” said Mr. Vuong Dinh Anh.

In addition to the exhibition booths, the event also organizes trade activities and seminars to promote the consumption of OCOP products in modern foreign distribution systems; exchange experiences between major distributors, OCOP enterprises and state management agencies to provide effective solutions for market expansion.
