Speaking at the Commendation Ceremony, comrade Ngo Duy Hieu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, President of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union said: Based on the policy in the Resolution of the 12th Congress of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union in 2018, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union has concretized the movement "Good advice, good service" in Resolution No. 04/NQ-CĐVC dated August 16, 2019.
The movement aims at providing correct, timely, creative advice, bringing high efficiency to the State, society, people, workers and enterprises. “Good service” means serving thoughtfully, wholeheartedly, responsibly and effectively in accordance with assigned duties and tasks, satisfying people, businesses and customers. Service is also understood as serving the glorious cause of the Party, serving the Fatherland and the nation.
The emulation movement "Good advice, good service" was launched by the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union in 2019 with the aim of creating a strong change in the spirit, attitude, and responsibility of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in performing professional tasks, contributing to the completion of political tasks of each agency and unit, contributing to the overall development of the country.
According to the Chairman of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union: After 5 years of implementation, the movement has penetrated deeply into the grassroots, received the response and implementation of specific, practical and effective actions by a large number of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in each agency and unit. "Good advice, good service" along with other emulation movements and campaigns have created great changes in the contingent of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers nationwide in terms of professional quality, spirit, service attitude, and completion of increasingly heavy and complicated workloads.

“From the movement, tens of thousands of typical examples of collectives and individuals 'Good advice, good service' have emerged, of which 150 typical examples present today are exemplary examples. You are enthusiastic cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers, full of aspirations, constantly studying, improving your mettle, working with a spirit of dedication, daring to face difficulties, always innovating, creating, improving the quality of work; close to the people, listening to the people, wholeheartedly serving the people, serving the Fatherland”, he informed.
Among the 150 comrades, there are 84 delegates from ministries and branches and 66 local delegates; 72 men and 78 women; 38 department-level leaders, 20 department-level leaders; 1 clerical officer, 2 drivers and many specialists and direct workers; 2 associate professors, 5 doctors; the oldest person is 60, the youngest is 30 years old.

“With the country’s foundation, potential, position and prestige, with great aspirations, high determination, dedication and service spirit of the cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers, under the wise and talented leadership of the Party, we have the firm belief that the world will not only know Vietnam through President Ho Chi Minh and Dien Bien Phu, but will also know a Vietnam of the 21st century that has successfully and powerfully innovated, steadfastly keeping pace with the times,” he emphasized.
* Earlier, in the early morning of September 4, at the Presidential Palace, General Secretary and President To Lam took the time to meet, talk, commend the achievements and present souvenirs to the delegation honored in the emulation movement "Good advice, good service" for the period 2019-2024.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the General Secretary and President commended and congratulated the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union for successfully organizing and implementing the movement and 150 advanced models in the movement "Good advice, good service".
