15 people died in serious accident in Canada

The recent crash near Carberry that killed 15 people is one of the deadliest traffic accidents in Canadian history.

At least 15 people were killed in Canada in a traffic accident between a container truck and a bus carrying many elderly and disabled people near the town of Carberry in the province of Manitoba at noon on June 15 (local time).

This is one of the deadliest traffic accidents in Canadian history. The cause of the accident has not been determined.

According to police, the accident occurred at the intersection of two major roads near the town of Carberry, about 170km from Winnipeg - the capital of Manitoba province.

The accident occurred while the Handi-Transit bus - a transport company that provides door-to-door service to passengers who cannot use the traditional bus system - was on its way to a local casino.

There were 25 people on board at the time of the accident. The drivers of both vehicles survived. Images on social media showed the bus on fire.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Manitoba said it has mobilized all resources to respond to the fatal accident , while authorities are investigating.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called the accident a tragedy and expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims.

The deadliest road accident in Canadian history occurred in 1997 when a bus carrying many elderly people plunged into a ravine in Quebec province, killing 44 people./.
