On April 19, 125 startup projects from students across the country entered the final round and competed fiercely at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education.

The 7th "Students with Startup Ideas" Contest in 2025 was launched in December 2024. After 2 months of launching, the contest received 775 startup projects from universities, vocational training institutions and general education institutions.
Notably, this is also the first year the competition has had the participation of vocational training institutions. This year's startup ideas are of high quality and diverse, with the content of the ideas focusing on solving social community problems.
The organizers said that the number of junior high school students participating this year has increased compared to previous competitions. The projects of students from training institutions apply new technologies such as IoT, Big Data and AI technology. Many projects have been implemented by students and have had initial success, many projects have been implemented and moved to the profitable stage and the revenue and profit indicators have had quite impressive growth rates.
After the competition ends, the winning projects continue to be incubated to become startups; feasible projects are also supported by higher education institutions to transfer to the community.

It is expected that the final results will be available on the afternoon of April 20.
On the afternoon of April 20, the organizing committee will award prizes to the best startup teams. Projects with high scores will continue to be incubated to become startups.
Implementing Project 1665, since 2018, the Ministry of Education and Training has organized the contest "Students with startup ideas". To date, the contest has received nearly 2,239 projects from higher education institutions; 4,598 startup ideas and projects from vocational students and more than 1,299 projects from high schools and junior high schools. Of which, 80% of the projects have products and 20% of the projects are ideas or products at the trial production level.
