120 outstanding overseas Vietnamese participate in the parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South

NDO - At the press conference on activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) held on the morning of April 18 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang said that the parade had the participation of 120 outstanding overseas Vietnamese.

These are overseas Vietnamese who have made many contributions to the national struggle, along with many young faces who are intellectuals, businessmen, and artists abroad. The overseas Vietnamese group is actively practicing, forming groups, and preparing for the preliminary and final rehearsals in Ho Chi Minh City.

Currently, the delegation is in Da Nang , planning to join representatives of dignitaries, religions, and ethnic groups in the country to participate in a special ship trip - the Great Unity Ship, to visit and encourage the soldiers and people of Truong Sa island district and DK1 platform. After completing this trip, the overseas Vietnamese delegation will attend activities in Nha Trang city (Khanh Hoa province) and activities within the framework of the grand ceremony in Ho Chi Minh city.

In addition to the overseas Vietnamese participating in the parade, more than 100 overseas Vietnamese delegates from 25 countries and territories will attend a series of activities on the occasion of the April 30th holiday.

The 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day is a major event of great significance to Vietnam and international friends. The event received active participation from international delegates and guests.

Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang added that to date, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has received registrations from more than 140 international reporters, including reporters and assistants from foreign press offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

There will be more than 40 reporters from various countries coming to Vietnam, including some former war correspondents, overseas Vietnamese reporters from the US and some European countries to attend and report on this event. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will host a number of activities for international and domestic reporters.

Informing the press about the media activities, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh said: It is expected that on the morning of April 28, the press center serving the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification will officially open. However, from April 26 to 27, the center will open technically, creating all favorable conditions for international and domestic reporters to work and communicate about the celebration.
