12 authors and groups of authors won prizes at the "Innovative Startup" contest of Quang Tri

NDO - On January 15, the Organizing Committee of the "Innovative Startup" contest in Quang Tri province in 2024 awarded prizes to 12 authors and groups of authors with outstanding achievements.

Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Tri, Dao Ngoc Hoang, said that after more than 8 months of launching, the "Innovative Startup" contest in 2024 has attracted the participation of many components including: students, teachers, officials, and workers with ideas and projects in many fields of production, business, and services, receiving enthusiastic cooperation from educational institutions, businesses, and cooperatives in the province.

The Organizing Committee of the contest received 48 applications for ideas and projects from authors and groups of authors that were assessed to demonstrate creativity in labor, production, business, teaching and learning; with careful investment and preparation, and scientific presentation. Thereby, contributing to exploiting and promoting the province's strengths in developing digital economy, green economy, and circular economy.

Through two preliminary and final rounds, the Organizing Committee selected 12 potential ideas and projects to honor. Among them, the idea of ​​“Vision Mate - Glasses to support the visually impaired” by author Nguyen Tan Dung, from Bui Duc Tai High School, was awarded First Prize.

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province Le Duc Tien, Head of the Organizing Committee of the "Innovative Startup" contest in 2024, assessed that the contest has created a useful playground, contributing to promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship, daring to think, daring to do and having the desire to rise up to turn dreams and ideas into reality of the working class in Quang Tri province.

The Organizing Committee has launched the "Innovative Startup" competition in 2025, starting from January 2025.
