Today (February 19), Ho Chi Minh City University of Education began to open the portal to receive registration for the first round of the 2024 specialized competency assessment exam.
Accordingly, in 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education plans to organize 3 exam sessions. The first exam session will take place over 3 days, from March 29-31 at the school. Candidates will register for the exam from February 19 to March 15. The remaining two exam sessions are scheduled to take place in May and candidates will register for the exam in April.
Candidates register for the exam and pay the fee online at: https://dkdgnl.hcmue.edu.vn/. Candidates create an account by entering the following information: full name, CCCD number, gender, date of birth, phone number and contact email address. After completing the registration steps, candidates will be given a password to log into the system via the CCCD number.
In the registration system, candidates have the right to choose the appropriate exam subject and exam session. Next, candidates need to complete the payment of the fee within 24 hours from the registration date. The exam fee is 200,000 VND/test for the following exams: math, physics, chemistry, biology; 300,000 VND/test for the literature exam and 500,000 VND/test for the English exam. Candidates can choose to pay by Momo wallet or transfer money by QR code on the banking application.

It is expected that a maximum of 3,410 candidates can take the exam in the first round.
Master Nguyen Ngoc Trung, Vice Principal of the school, said that candidates can register for one or more different exam sessions, one or more different exams in the same exam session. However, in each exam session, candidates cannot register for the same exam multiple times.
Updating the status of candidates registering for the exam right away, Master Trung said that after 5 hours of opening the system, nearly 390 candidates successfully registered (accounting for nearly 12% of the total number of candidates taking the exam in the first round).
"In the first round, the school plans to accept 3,410 candidates for 6 subjects (each subject has a different number of candidates). Candidates can see the number of candidates remaining for each exam right in the registration system. Candidates who register beyond the prescribed number for each exam in the first round will take the exam in the next round," Master Trung emphasized.
This year, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Education's specialized competency assessment exam includes 6 tests: math, physics, chemistry, biology, literature and English. Candidates take the exam on computers at testing locations organized by the school. Candidates check the exam room notice through the registration system 5 days before the exam, and the results are also announced on this system after 15-20 days.
The specialized competency assessment tests of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education will be converted to a 10-point scale, with scores calculated to 0.1. The test results will be used for admission according to the school's admission plan by combining high school academic results. The admission score includes the specialized competency assessment test score multiplied by a factor of 2, plus the average score of 6 high school semesters of the remaining 2 subjects according to the admission combination. Candidates applying for a major will register to take the competency assessment test corresponding to that major.
