Ho Chi Minh City has 10 schools with 10th grade benchmark scores of 23 and above, all of which have increased compared to last year. Nguyen Thuong Hien High School is at the top with 25.5 points.
On the afternoon of July 7, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced the admission scores for 10th grade public schools of 108 high schools. The 10 schools with the highest admission scores are Nguyen Thuong Hien, Gia Dinh, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Nguyen Huu Huan, Bui Thi Xuan, Phu Nhuan Tran Phu, Le Quy Don, Mac Dinh Chi, and Nguyen Huu Cau high schools.

Compared to last year, the top 10 are still familiar names. All increased by 0.5-1.25 points. Of which, Nguyen Thuong Hien and Gia Dinh High Schools increased the most - 1.25 points.
With the admission score being the sum of Math, Literature, Foreign Language and priority points (if any), candidates without extra points must achieve an average of 8.5 points per subject to be admitted to Nguyen Thuong Hien High School; from 7.6 points or higher per subject to be admitted to other schools in the top 10.
Candidates must submit their admission application to the high school they were admitted to from 12 to 16:00 on July 26, otherwise their names will be removed.
The Department of Education and Training requires schools not to accept applications or change their wishes, and only accept applications from candidates on their 10th grade admission list.
This year, of the nearly 96,000 candidates who took the exam, about 77,300 were admitted to public grade 10 (80%). The remaining students can attend private high schools, vocational education - continuing education centers or vocational colleges. These schools have an enrollment target of about 55,000.

Previously, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City announced the admission scores for specialized 10th grade classes. The Biology specialized class of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted had a benchmark score of 38.75/50 - the highest among specialized 10th grade classes in Ho Chi Minh City.
