On this occasion, 3 prisoners currently serving their sentences at Nghia An Prison were conditionally released early; 7 prisoners currently serving their sentences at the Provincial Police Prison had their prison terms reduced. The prisoners who were conditionally released early and had their prison terms reduced this time all met the following conditions: reduced prison terms; first-time offenders; made significant progress; had a clear place of residence; completed court fees; and served at least part of their prison sentences.

The reduction of prison sentences and conditional early release for prisoners on the occasion of April 30 is a humane policy of the Party and the State towards criminals. This will promptly motivate and encourage prisoners to actively study, work, and improve themselves to soon reform and return to society.
