DNVN - At the Vietnam - Korea Tourism Promotion and Cultural Cooperation Forum 2024, Vietjet celebrated 10 years of opening flights to the "land of Kimchi" and announced a new route Daegu - Nha Trang.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and senior leaders of the two countries congratulated Vietjet on its anniversary and welcomed the new route during the Prime Minister's official visit to Korea.

Under the witness of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung presented a commemorative medal to congratulate Vietjet on its 10-year journey connecting Vietnam and Korea.

Marking the journey connecting Vietnam and Korea, since the first flight in 2014, Vietjet has continuously expanded its flight network, carrying 10 million passengers on more than 37 regular and charter routes between Vietnam and Korea, bringing more convenient travel opportunities than ever between the two countries, contributing to the strong development of economic relations, investment, tourism, and cultural exchange between the two countries.

Vietjet is also the airline with the most routes between Vietnam and Korea, connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Da Lat with Korea's leading metropolises Seoul, Busan and Daegu... In 2023, Vietnam welcomed 12.6 million international visitors, including 3.6 million Korean visitors, ranking first among foreign visitor markets to Vietnam.

On this occasion, Vietjet also announced the opening of a flight route connecting Daegu (South Korea) with the coastal city of Nha Trang amid congratulations and welcome from senior leaders and businesses of the two countries. The new route is expected to operate from October 27, 2024 with 7 round trips per week.

Daegu is one of the largest cities in Korea, with attractive tourist destinations such as Palgongsan Mountain, Cosmos Field or a series of famous parks such as Apsan Park, Woobang Tower, Daegu Arboretum, Mangwoo Park, Gyeongsan-gamyeong and Gukchaebosang Memorial Park... Meanwhile, Nha Trang is a beautiful coastal city famous worldwide, known as the "Pearl of the East Sea" with a temperate climate, rich culture and cuisine...

When the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, Vietjet flights urgently brought stranded Daegu residents back to their hometown safely. By resuming flights to Daegu today, Vietjet believes it will contribute to further developing the local economy.
