Specifically, the province has implemented training support policies for 39 officials, attracted 64 doctors, supported 89 students and had 1,232 medical staff receive preferential policies.

The Provincial People's Council issued Resolution No. 11/2020/NQ-HDDN dated December 4, 2020 and Resolution No. 18/2024/HDND supplementing Resolution No. 11/2020/NQ-HDND regulating policies to attract, treat, and support human resource training in Lao Cai province for the period 2020 - 2025, notably as follows:
Attraction mode
- Full-time general practitioners working at provincial medical facilities: Excellent graduates: 120 million VND; Fair graduates: 70 million VND.
- District level: Excellent graduation: 140 million VND; good graduation: 90 million VND; average or average-good graduation: 60 million VND.
- Commune level: Excellent graduation: 160 million VND; good graduation: 120 million VND; average or good graduation: 90 million VND.

Support for training
Doctoral training: 100 million VND
Master's degree training: 40 million VND
Training for level 2 specialist doctors and resident doctors: 90 million VND
Training for specialist doctor level 1: 30 million VND
Treatment
Monthly allowance according to qualifications and job position for postgraduate doctors who complete their tasks well each year will receive an additional 0.5 to 1.2 times the basic monthly salary.
