Investigation into the ship fire on the Ka Long border river

On the evening of January 4, information from the People's Committee of Mong Cai City said that local authorities are investigating the boat fire on the Ka Long border river.

Previously, at around 6:30 p.m. on January 4, on the Ka Long border river, through Ninh Duong Ward (Mong Cai City), 3 wooden boats were anchored and suddenly caught fire.

According to some locals, at that time, 3 wooden tourist boats of Long Duong tourism company, which has stopped operating, were anchored at Phuong Oanh port (Ha Long area, Ninh Duong ward, Mong Cai city) emitting black smoke, and a few minutes later, the fire spread rapidly.

Dozens of police and military officers arrived at the scene to put out the fire.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Mong Cai City authorities mobilized dozens of officers, soldiers and people to the scene to put out the fire.

By about 9:00 p.m. the same day, the fire was extinguished and caused no human casualties.

Fortunately, the ship fire did not cause any human casualties.

The initial cause of the fire was determined to be an electrical short circuit. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the ship fire.
