At around 6:30 p.m. the same day, Binh Dinh provincial authorities received a report of a tractor-trailer fire in the parking lot of Quy Nhon Road Management and Repair Joint Stock Company (Nhon Binh Ward, Quy Nhon City).
Immediately, Quy Nhon Fire Prevention and Fighting Team dispatched 1 command vehicle, 3 fire trucks, 1 tanker truck, 1 troop transport vehicle (including 26 soldiers) to the scene to put out the fire. Next, Phu Tai Fire Prevention and Fighting Team dispatched 2 fire trucks with 14 soldiers, Nhon Hoi Fire Prevention and Fighting Team dispatched 2 fire trucks with 11 soldiers and Quy Nhon Port dispatched 1 fire truck to support. In addition, there were also a number of soldiers from other units.
There were about 80 soldiers from many units in Binh Dinh province participating in controlling the fire.
By 6:50 p.m. the same day, the fire was basically under control and at about 7:13 p.m. on April 20, the fire was completely extinguished.
The fire did not cause any human casualties but caused heavy property damage when 4 tractor-trailers were burned. Authorities are investigating and clarifying the fire.
